Save Lids to Save Lives
Yoplait’s Save Lids to Save Lives® program will once again take place in September and October 2010. Yoplait will donate 10 cents per lid for each pink lid received by December 31, 2010. Training Ground Couch to 5K
This program is for beginning to advanced runners. The program will be led by Leigh Daniel, 9 time All-American at Texas Tech and 2008 Olympic trial marathon qualifier. This 12 week program begins on July 10t with weekly group runs. Registration is $20 and a minimum of $10 from each registration will be donated to Komen Lubbock. In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Mass Mutual will host a special seminar program that provides women, their families and friends with access to a wide range of financial content – enabling them to educate and empower themselves to help build a more secure financial future – which will lead to donations to help those battling breast cancer. Mass Mutual will donate $1,000 per seminar to Komen Lubbock. Mass Mutual’s Pearls of Wisdom seminar program includes segments on topics such as annuities, disability income, insurance and life insurance. Pearls of Wisdom addresses real-life situations that women of all ages, ethnicities and income levels face. We Think Pink In Lubbock
Join Komen Lubbock and the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal for We Think Pink in Lubbock on Tuesday, October 5th at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. We Think Pink will be a daylong event focusing on breast cancer education, honoring local breast cancer survivors and providing shopping and entertainment for all in attendance. There are a limited number of exhibitor spaces available. General admission luncheon tickets are $40 and general admission cooking school tickets are $10. Rally for the Cure® is a program dedicated to spreading awareness about breast health and breast cancer through organized social events. Fit for the Cure® helps women find their perfect fit with professional bra fittings. This event will take place on Friday, October 15, 2010 from 10 am – 5 pm at Dillard’s in South Plains Mall.
