As a grassroots organization, the Lubbock Area Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure relies on the commitment of its communities and their personal initiatives on behalf of the fight against breast cancer. Komen for the Cure has trademarked hundreds of events from Bowl for the Cure to Laugh for the Cure and more.

Many events involve something as simple as donating the net proceeds of a day of shopping at a small boutique. Others are large fundraising events such as a golf tournament or concert with net proceeds benefiting your Komen Lubbock Area Affiliate. Countless individuals and organizations have put together their own such events with unprecedented success. Many are so pleased with the outpouring of interest and support in their efforts that they continue to organize their events annually.
