The Lubbock Area Affiliate is always in need of volunteers. Volunteers are the main reason we are able to create, host and attend amazing events. Volunteers not only help us with events, but they volunteer in the office, at health fairs and at Race for the Cure. Our volunteers are imperative to the success of our Affiliate. For that, we thank you in advance your enthusiasm and support of Komen Lubbock!
General Information
All volunteers, except those interested in the Race for the Cure, must complete a 2 hour Komen volunteer training. After you have completed the training course, you are ready to begin volunteering!
If you are interested in volunteering for Komen Lubbock regularly, please contact Allison Lewis at 806-698-1900 or Allison@komenlubbock.org to learn more about volunteering for the Lubbock Affiliate.
If you are interested in volunteering at the 2010 Race for the Cure, please follow the steps below:

The Lubbock Affiliate would like to Spotlight Christie Devitt as an outstanding Komen volunteer!
Christie Devitt, a young mother at the age of 29, was diagnosed with breast cancer while carrying her second child. She and her daughter, Laney, are now 2 ½ year survivors. Christie is very passionate and is the Komen-Lubbock Speakers Bureau Chair. She speaks with a genuine smile and shares her story across our 16 county service area. Christie believes in the vision of Komen, a world without breast cancer. She volunteers her time to Komen and is helping make a difference with education and breast cancer awareness. Christie is a member of the Survivor's Circle, the 2010 Race for the Cure committee and can be seen at many special Komen events. Her own story gives hope and joy.
