25% of all funds raised by Komen Lubbock are dedicated to the Komen National Research Grant Fund. These funds are granted to local and national programs that support Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing the science to find the cures.  For more information on the Susan G.  Since 2003, the Lubbock Area Affiliate has contributed $383,458.19 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure's National Award and Research Program.

On the local level, the Lubbock Area Affiliate is not allowed to fund research grant programs.
