Small grants are for funding requests that do not exceed $5,000 and are intended to support some of the “unexpected” costs associated with a project (e.g. purchase of educational materials, food costs, costs for a presentation, survivor recognition, etc.). Small Grants are NOT intended to support salary or services for an individual (e.g. mammography, ultrasound), development of materials, etc. Please review the Small Grant Application for a complete list of criteria and guidelines.
Conference Grants are intended to support local scientific or educational conferences, symposia and meetings, with an emphasis on those that enhance the interaction between the advocate, healthcare system and scientific communities. Conference grant funding requests may not exceed $5,000.
Travel Grants are intended to provide travel assistance to grantees, healthcare professionals and advocates to attend, participate in and/or present a meetings, conferences or symposia that would increase the community knowledge of breast health and breast cancer. Travel Grants are available for up to $1,000 for domestic traveel and up to $2,000 for international travel.

How to Apply
Casting for Recovery (CFR) is a wonderful opportunity for one female breast cancer survivor to attend a weekend JUST FOR HER.
CFR is a Support & Educational Program that provides no-cost fly-fishing retreats specifically tailored for women who have or have had breast cancer. Texas women of all ages and in all stages of breast cancer treatment and recovery are invited to apply.
In 2009, the Lubbock Area Affiliate approved 2 small grants, allowing breast cancer survivors from the Lubbock Service Area to attend a Casting for Recovery Weekend Retreat. For more details on Casting for Recovery, please visit http://www.castingforrecovery.org/.
