Apply For Grants

The Affiliate Grants Program awarded more than $82 million in grants last year to more than 1,300 organizations across the country. The funded programs provide services tailored to local community needs and life-saving education and outreach efforts.

Komen Lubbock Area is privileged to help fund critical, compassionate work in our community. Organizations who provide breast health and breast cancer services to residents of our 16-county service area are eligible to apply for large and small grants from Komen Lubbock Area.

The Request for Application (RFA) is built around our Statement of Need, which conveys the guidelines for the types of programs Komen and the Lubbock Area Affiliate are willing to fund. The Statement of Need and RFA are both based on findings from the Community profile. The Statement of Need is included as part of the RFA.

Up to 75 cents of each dollar raised by the Lubbock Area Affiliate remains in the 16-county service area. The remaining 25 cents helps fund the National Research and Training Grant Program.

We are committed to supporting grantees and their programs throughout the life of your grant.

Two Types of Grants

Community-Based Grants support local screening and access to treatment programs. The application deadline is generally in December or early January of each year.

Small Grants fund education and outreach programs. Applications are accepted year-round.
